Meet Dave the Pastor

Rev. David N. Peppler, Sr.
I must admit that I still get goosebumps when I think of how the Lord called me into His ministry in January of 1996. The power of that moment is overwhelming. I still struggle at times to think why the Lord would want a goofy radio personality in the pulpit. Since then, following His lead and His will has been what Diane and I refer to as a great adventure. I have been piece-mealing together my education from day one and have had opportunities to serve the Lord by preaching in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina and now in Virginia. God has provided many miracles in our lives and we certainly know that He gets the glory and the credit. I have been honored to serve the Lord by serving churches as Pastor in Bullock, NC, Chase City, VA (Bethel), Prospect, VA (Glenn Memorial), and now in Powhatan, VA (Muddy Creek).
I am a Christian and do most of my Kingdom service with Baptists. I am a firm believer in Ecumenical activities and love working with people of other faith practices. I have served as Spiritual Director for a couple of Southside Virginia Emmaus “Walks” and love helping people learn how to comprehend and pursue the personal side of spirituality. Teaching spiritual formations is certainly a priority and I love watching people unfold like spring flowers as they learn just what a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can really be like. It is the difference between knowing God and knowing God. This, of course, can lead one to a much more meaningful experience of life in general. “Life to the full” is certainly attainable and is pure joy when experienced.
This is what motivates me and drives me to lead the way I do. If we cannot get excited about the joys of Christianity, then there is little hope for our witness in this world.
